2nd shift – 2:30pm-11:00pm

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Set-up – Trouble shooting, Component Fabrication and Production of progressive, compound, four slide and secondary tooling.
  • CT approved (apprenticeship completed) journeyperson
  • Ability to read - understand blue prints and GDT as needed for production manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in production environments. Progressive stamping background required
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment.
  • Familiar with Medical and Aerospace (ISO13485 & AS9100) working environments.
  • An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering - Quality Engineering - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)
  • Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.
  • Self starter with strong work ethic / production oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted

1st shift – 7:00am-3:30pm

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Industrial Fields.
  • Ability to read blue prints and analyzes its feasibility to be manufactured.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.).
    • ISO quality standards and statistical process control in a production environment.
    • principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
    • Production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.
    • Statistical process control in production environments.
    • Six-sigma or other methods to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control process capability.
  • CAD Literate. Capable of using CAD for creating specifications for fixture/assembly aids, gauges and machine designs, as well as floor plans a plus.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining visual works instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
  • Detail & Task driven work ethic.

  • Good math skills

  • Knowledge in the use of simple gauges (i.e. plug gauge)
  • Work well as a team
  • Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-position.

Apprenticeship Program

Our apprenticeship program provides paid, on the job, hands on training for employees interested in specializing in specific trades. Apprentices can be hired internally or externally. In the words of a former apprentice, “The nice thing about the apprenticeship program is you’re making money the entire time you learn and work which you can’t do in many jobs.”
