Connecticut Spring & Stamping Highlights Capabilities at Design & Manufacturing Montréal

To showcase stamping, slide forming, wire form, and spring capabilities

Farmington, CT - Connecticut Spring & Stamping (CSS), a manufacturer of precision parts for the medical, aerospace, firearms and defense industries worldwide, announces that it will be highlighting its complete range of stamping, slide forming, wire form, and spring capabilities at Design & Manufacturing Montréal, which takes place November 14-15, 2012 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal , Montréal, Canada, Booth # 1428. Machining capabilities will also be showcased.

CSS has a large and expanding business supplying tight tolerance springs and metal stampings. Prototyping and complete new product development services is a specialty, including collaborating with customers to optimize their design objectives.

The company offers low volume, short-run spring manufacturing, as well as higher volume production and warehousing. Springs are produced according to customer specifications, and are manufactured from a wide range of flat stock and round wires, ranging from .002-inch to .350-inch in diameter. With an expertise in part and tooling design, CSS develops sophisticated tooling to produce extremely tight stack tolerances, less than a thousandth of an inch.

CSS will display samples of intricate springs, stampings, Fourslide parts and wire forms. Slide forming machines, including Fourslide, Multislide and Vertislide tools, produce parts at substantially lower cost than power press tools. On display will be stamped/machined medical channels for disposable instruments, surgical staples, wire formed clamps, retention spring clips, jet turbine blade locks, clutch springs, compression spring assemblies and float wires.

CSS will also showcase its complete metal stamping capabilities, include prototyping and high speed progressive die stamping from 30-300 tons, in-die tapping, reel to reel processes, modular die options, and short run stamping.
